Walking Zikr

Terms of Use

Effective: 28 May 2026 ยท Last updated: 18 June 2026

Plain English: Walking Zikr is a personal counting aid for dhikr. It is not a religious authority and not a medical device. By installing the app you agree to use it for its intended purpose and accept the limitations described below.

1. The app and its purpose

Walking Zikr is a mobile application that helps users keep count of their personal dhikr (remembrance) using a step-based or timed assist. It is intended for private worship and reflection.

2. Not religious instruction

Walking Zikr does not issue religious rulings, fatwas, or guidance. The dhikr phrases included are common, widely known phrases offered as counting presets. No claims of source authenticity, reward, or required practice are made. For religious instruction, please consult a qualified scholar.

3. Not a medical device

Walking Zikr is not a fitness tracker, medical device, or health monitoring tool. The step count shown during Walking Zikr sessions is provided by your phone's pedometer sensor and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on Walking Zikr for any medical, fitness, or health purpose.

4. Accuracy and "as is" basis

The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that step counts, timer pacing, or prayer-time-based suggestions are accurate. You are responsible for verifying any time-sensitive worship practice independently.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Intellectual property

The Walking Zikr app, its design, code, copy, and icon are the property of IFORGEAPPS LTD and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Arabic text shown in dhikr presets is in the public domain.

7. Purchases and subscriptions

Walking Zikr is free, and every worship feature is free for everyone, forever. Walking Zikr Pro is an optional purchase that unlocks cosmetic extras (ambient soundscapes, scenic backgrounds, and colour themes) and future non-worship features. Pro is offered as a one-time Lifetime unlock, a one-time founding Supporter purchase, and a Monthly subscription (currently £3.99 per month, or the equivalent in your local currency) with a 7-day free trial.

All payments are processed by Apple's App Store. We never receive your payment details, and refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with its terms.

For the Monthly subscription: payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase the subscription. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings in the App Store.

Restoring a previous purchase requires a valid receipt from the App Store. By purchasing, you also agree to Apple's applicable terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Your agreement to use Walking Zikr is between you and IFORGEAPPS LTD only, and not with Apple. IFORGEAPPS LTD, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content, and Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IFORGEAPPS LTD will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the app.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the app and on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
