    Remembrance, made calm.

Every part of Walking Zikr is built around one quiet intention: to help you remember Allah, wherever you are.

    Walking mode

Counts your dhikr from your steps as you walk, using the iPhone motion sensor. Tap always works too. A pocket mode counts eyes-free with the phone at your side, and the screen stays awake while you count.

    Still mode

In stillness, the count keeps your pace, not the other way around. Set it once to match your recitation, then simply remember, hands free, with no button to press for every single count.

    A rich dhikr library

The daily adhkar, the 99 Names of Allah from the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah, and curated collections: Tasbih and Dhikr, Salawat, Protection verses, Rabbana du'as, and authentic combinations. Arabic, transliteration, and translation, with tap to hear.

    Ambient soundscape mixer

Over 20 nature sounds: rain, ocean, birdsong, forest, storm, thunder, wind, campfire, night and more. Blend up to two at once, each with its own volume, and change them live mid-session.

    Gentle targets and pace

33, 99, 100, a custom target, or until you stop, with live time estimates. Suggestions to help you keep your rhythm, never prescribed counts.

    Prayer reminders

Optional reminders before each salah, from the prayer times you follow from your masjid or timetable, with a quiet completion moment when a session ends.

    Completely private

No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no tracking. Your sessions, history, and settings stay on your iPhone and are never sent anywhere.

    Accessible and offline

VoiceOver, Reduce Motion, and large-text aware, and everything works offline. No signal needed to count, listen, or be reminded.

    Two ways to count.

Whether you are moving or still, your dhikr is counted gently and never lost.

    Walking mode

Put your phone in your pocket and walk. Your steps are counted as dhikr, smoothly, with the screen kept awake so nothing interrupts your remembrance. Tap always works too.

    • Step counting via the iPhone motion sensor
    • Eyes-free pocket mode, screen stays awake
    • Short phrases per step, long phrases at a calm pace

    Still mode

In stillness, the count keeps your pace, not the other way around. Set it once to match the rhythm of your recitation, then simply remember. Your hands stay free, so there is no tapping a button for every single count.

    • Paced timer, or tap to count
    • Choose your seconds-per-count rhythm
    • Pause, resume, and track progress in real time

Completely private. Everything stays on your iPhone. No account, no tracking.

    Questions, answered.

    What is Walking Zikr?

Walking Zikr is a calm iOS app for personal dhikr, the remembrance of Allah. It counts your dhikr while you walk using the iPhone motion sensor, or while you sit with a paced Still mode counter, with gentle nature soundscapes and prayer reminders.

    When can I download it?

Walking Zikr is coming soon to the App Store, and it is in TestFlight beta now. Contact us to join the beta and we will send you a TestFlight invite.

    Is it free?

Yes. Walking Zikr is free to use on iPhone.

    Is my data private?

Yes. Walking Zikr is local-first: there is no account, no cloud, and no tracking. Your sessions, history, settings, and prayer times stay on your device and are never sent anywhere.

How do the prayer reminders work?

You enter the prayer times you follow from your own masjid or timetable. The app reminds you before each prayer so you have time to prepare for salah. No location or automatic calculation is used.

Does it count accurately with my phone in my pocket?

Yes. Walking mode uses the iPhone motion sensor and keeps the screen awake during a session, so your dhikr keeps counting as you walk with the phone at your side.
